The HDR contract was awarded Tuesday night (1-20-2004) with little fanfare (at the Municipal Assembly meeting). Sullivan pulled the award from the consent agenda and raised a question about whether or not the EIS could vary at all from the Orange Modified route without needing to start the EIS process over again. Howard Holtan said it was still preliminary and that some modification could occur without violating the EIS process. Sullivan said he just wanted to make sure that Rasmuson's money wasn't wasted on an EIS process that would ultimately be rejected.
Sure, Dan, you and Geoff Parker have the same sincere concern for Rasmuson's money.
The contract award passed 8 to 3, with Sullivan, Kendall, and Fairclough voting no.
