To keep the Coastal Trail along the coast, cast your vote for Begich

While the three major candidates for mayor may have similar positions on many issues, there is one issue that clearly separates them: the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Mr. Mystrom caters to the rich NIMBY crowd by advocating a southern extension though neighborhoods and along streets. Mayor Wuerch caters to the anti-Knowles crowd (can't give Tony any credit before the 2004 U.S. Senate race) by trying to kill or at least delay any extension. Mark Begich is the only major candidate who advocates a true coastal route for an extension of the Coastal Trail. The Coastal Trail is the jewel of Anchorage. It helps make Anchorage a fabulous place to live. A southern extension along the coast to Potter Marsh would be a treasure for generations to come. Mark Begich is the only candidate who will make it happen. If you support a true Coastal Trail extension, please support Mark Begich for mayor.
