The article reports on the dynamics of economic competition, and how communities carve out lucrative slices of the global economy. Portland, Oregon, for example "is enjoying a huge influx of designers, engineers, and entrepeeurs drawn by its funky neighborhoods, miles of bike paths, and recreational opportunities ." Imagine the communmity Anchorage could be !!!
